FixMe Now is an on-demand repair marketplace. A customer describes the problem, adds a photo and an address, and the request goes to nearby verified technicians in that category. The customer tracks arrival live, chats with the technician, confirms the work and pays in the app.
Uploading a document does not make a technician eligible on FixMe Now. Licences, insurance certificates and bonds are reviewed against the rules configured for the service and the jurisdiction before a technician can receive paid work there.
Requirements differ by state, county and city. Job offers only reach technicians whose verified credentials cover that service in that location, so customers are not matched with someone who cannot legally do the work.
Customers add a payment method up front but the card is charged after the work is confirmed complete. Receipts are issued automatically and technician payouts run through Stripe Connect and Global Payouts.
We support HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance repair. We would rather do four categories properly than list dozens we cannot staff with verified professionals.
Phoenix, Arizona is our first fully configured market. Arizona requirements are modelled from Arizona Registrar of Contractors licence classifications and bond rules, including the statutory handyman exemption threshold for small jobs. Each rule stored in FixMe Now carries its source, effective date and review state, and anything ambiguous is held for legal review instead of being guessed.
